The Directorate-General for Research has featured CoSTREAM in an article published today in light of World Stroke Day.
The article highlights the combined multi-disciplinary expertise on both stroke and Alzheimer’s, as well as our state-of-the-art metabolomics. It also highlights our ‘organ-on-a-chip’ lab model that can replicate the blood-brain barrier, how this model is helping to characterise and validate the underlying pathways shared by the two diseases, and how it could revolutionise the development of new therapies against them by allowing quick, efficient testing.
